Do Nasal Problems Affect How Your Voice Sounds?

My doctor told me that i have nasal problems. I was wondering if that affected how low your voice sounds. I've had a low voice for a while and maybe it's my nasal problems? If so, then how can i fix that?

Also, can tonsils affect your voice too?

Thank you so much! :D

  1. Yes, it changes the way the sound of your voice resonates and how air is pushed out when you speak.

  2. Your nose has everything to do with the sound of your voice. Ever notice how many very wealthy singers have big noses? Ever wonder why they dont' have a nose job?? It would change that million dollar voice! So yes, your nasal problems could very well effect the way you sound. So can smoking. Your tonsils shouldn't effect your voice in the least. Though the surgery could go horribly wrong and something happen to your vocal cords during it. But i would say that would be rare.

Do what your doctor suggests to help your nasal problems. Look into alternative methods here on the web. Since you said a nasal problem and not more specific, we can't give more specific answers.

    good luck.

  3. Yes, nasal problems can effect the way your voice sounds. Hense, when people have colds they're voices are usually different!

However, i'm not sure whether tonsils can effect your voice
