  1. Not really there is alot of history there, politically and it is probably never going to change.

  2. obviously RaUGHH!! knows absolutely nothing, and is either a r****d or just plain stupid.

Northern Ireland and the Republic have never had any problems.  The troubles were totally confined to northern Ireland and the republic was never involved; ever!!!

during the 1970s there were fears that the troubles would spill over into the republic but that never happened, and was never likely to.

Since 1986 (the signing of the Anglo-Irish agreement); the government in the Republic have focused on helping northern ireland in various ways and recently signed an agreement to give billions in aid to the north over the coming years.

personally i think northern ireland is a lovely part of the world, of course there is still much division and bitter tension there but hopefully that will ease over the coming years (fingers crossed)

  3. yes they do get along well when their not trying to kill each other

  4. yea wehave peace here now the troubles(OUR WAY OF SAYING WAR ) IS OVER COME ON OVER AND ENJOY THE CRAIC,

  5. they get on pretty well all past historical events taken into account

  6. the majority of people on both sides get on well.

I have met northern irish catholics and protestants numerous times and I have had the best of times.

We just dont talk about politics.

we are seperate countries now, who have realised that we have one thing in common we both live on the same island.
