Do Not Call List?

What good is it to be placed on the do not call list? I still receive bout six calls a day from telemarketers. All of them being machine recorded messages, never a life person. I've had the same automobile policy cancellation notice on my answering machine three days now, and I talked to a live person Tuesday about taking my name off their list.

I'm starting to think the Do not call list isn't any good.

Are you taking the time to report them at donotcall.gov?   I did that with everyone I got.  They have really dwindled down now.  

Also, if you are doing business with a company, they can call you regardless.  In that case you would have to talk to that company to be removed from their call list.  I've done that as well.

i know that there r national do not call lists but i am not sure how to go about getting your # on it. an other thing u could try is when u talk to a live person tell them to " cease and desist" the only thing is u will have to do that with every company that calls u .... good luck !!!
