  1. Yes it can.  I have had it happen; although I don't know how.  I have never done anything to cause it to happen.

Anyway, with once such instance, I was lying in bed, it was about 7:30 in the morning.  I was in that just waking up state; could hear birds chirping outside, hear the school buses and other traffic go by.  Then, I sat up in bed and stretched my arms up over my head.  When I brought my hands back down in front of my body, I panicked, because I could see through them.  I looked around the room, and when I looked over my left shoulder, I saw myself lying in bed with my eyes closed.

I remember trying to scream, but was pulled down into the bed.  At that moment I heard a sound like a loud, electrical buzzing sound.  I opened my eyes, and could not move or speak.  After a few minutes, I was okay.

I told this experience to a few people, and it seems as though I had experienced an OBE; but when I panicked, I was pulled back into my body to quickly.

It has happened a few times since, but at least now I know what's going on.  Now, if I could just figure out how to control it.

  2. No human being has ever demonstrated that superpower. It's a silly notion perpetuated by silly people.

  3. yes they do, i've experienced them a number of times when i was younger (and for those who say it's imaginative dreaming, i was awake!)  where i would be in my house and would suddenly find myself at my friends house listening to their conversation before coming back to myself, i usualy rung her after to confirm the convo did happen, and it did.

But i've never been able to make it happen nor would i want to

And again for the sceptics, i've never done drugs or any hallucinatary substances

  4. There is no reason to believe what some people call OBEs are anything more than just fun dreams.  Some people with a New Age belief system seem to like to attribute stellar aspects to everyday life and to pretend there are cosmic forces at work.  Considering there is no evidence to support these claims, the only reason I can think of for anyone to do this is because it makes life more mysterious.

I think the natural world is pretty amazing as it is and really needs no further embellishment.

  5. No.

  6. YES

  7. yes but research and practice are the key .astral projection  is more of a daily practice thing. If your talking about a near death ,or something that  helped you in your time of need,I say yes!sometimes we have to leave ,yet we are aloud back in! its always been amazing to me ,when I need it the most and at the  oddest minute, how it can whisk you away, for that moment of  clarity!blessed be

  8. I have never had one but it could happen.

  9. if a part of the brain is stimulated, people will get the sensation that they had an OBE.  It's a figment of the imagination that can be triggered with a little electric pulse.

  10. Yes, the experience of feeling that you are out of your body has been reported for centuries by both people who use substances to induce such a state and those that do not use any substances to induce such a state.

Are you really out of body? That question would first require defining what is you.

People have reported accurate information from locations they are not physically at but this could be information acquired ESP and not "you" out of your body.

  11. yes they do, ive had many, but mostly people that have had a near death experience have had them, and they have seen their own bodies laying there while they hover above or next to themselves....

  12. I've never personally done it, though I have had very lucid dreams where I can control where I go and what I'm doing. There have also been times my body feels as if I'm sinking or am in between dreaming and reality --- I can't move my arms or legs or hardly even breathe because my chest is being pushed down.. I'm not sure what that was.

At any rate, here is a link that will give you a variety of websites about out-of-body experiences. It's got more information than I could possibly post here.

  13. Yes!

  14. i have had two different kinds

#1 with the aid of hallucinogens which feels very intense physically but very harsh in the sense of my mind not really able to concentrate on where it is and the connection between here and somewhere else. (I just call it the "other" place)

#2 Through meditation sober. Not very intense physically and it takes alot more concentration to achieve. But the mind is really aware and in control of this other place and u can really wander around consciously.

  15. yes i have experinced it one time at schoool  i was following my body like a camera in a third person game

  16. probably not, but by no means can we say no. OBEs have been reported for ages, but all can be attributed to brain issues that occur at those times of high stress.

however, we have no way of confirming the negative in this case. anyone who says definitively that they do not occur is not responding in a scientifically accurate way.

this is a matter of opinion, and anyone who truly wishes to know should research this on, say, google, and make up their own minds. good hunting!
