Do OTC sleep aids such as Unisom (diphenhydramine) make lucid dreaming easier?

I've heard from some people that diphenhydramine causes very vivid dreams, and makes it easier to become lucid in dreams. Others have said that since it causes deeper sleep, it's more difficult.

I've taken Unison a few times before when I had trouble sleeping. I did have a lot of weird dreams when I took it, but never really became lucid.

OTC meds put you in a TOO Deep a sleep to experience Lucid state.  You need something milder, like Aromotherapy or Herbs.

For aromotherapy use Lavender, Clary Sage.

Herbally - you could use Hops, Valerian Root.
