Do OTHER ANIMALS BESIDES HUMANS COMIT SUICIDE?

yup, one example of this is the recent mass suicide of dolphins in cornwall uk.

scientists were confused as to why  several dolphi8ns swam to shallow rivers, then they came to the conclusion it could of been a mass sucide, im sure if your search google, there will be a full report of the incident.

While many people believe that lemmings commit mass suicide when they migrate, this is not the case. Driven by strong biological urges, they will migrate in large groups when population density becomes too great. Lemmings can and do swim and may choose to cross a body of water in search of a new habitat. On occasion, and particularly in the case of the Norway lemmings in Scandinavia, large migrating groups will reach a cliff overlooking the ocean. They will stop until the urge to press on causes them to jump off the cliff and start swimming, sometimes to exhaustion and death. Lemmings are also often pushed into the sea as more and more lemmings arrive at the shore.

well it's not really suicide but many animals like cats and dogs can sort of tell when they're gonna die and they accept it and go into a corner and die.

No.  You see committing suicide is a choice made by an individual. We people know the outcome of our choice.  Animals do not consciously make choices and they sure don't realize that they are gonna die because of it.

The lemmings thing is a myth.

The male spider that gets killed after breeding is clueless folks.  If it knew it was gonna die it would NOT mate.  Then there would not be anymore spider of that species.  An animals evolutionary success depends on success from reproduction.  Once the male passes on his genes it really does not matter what happens to him.  You see most spiders don't live that long anyway.  The vast majority of spiders have a total life span under one year.  For many spiders species they live just long enough to reproduce.

depends on your definition of suicide. some female spiders eat their mates once they lay their eggs, thus the male is committing suicide by mating. yay for reproduction!
