Is this forum necessary? Since when does religion come into play in an election???? I will not watch it; it is a waste of time.

  1. Yes, don't watch it, you wouldn't want to take the risk of learning something.

  2. You need to also question all churches, do they know about separation of church and state.

  3. Sorry but it was the American Communist League Union and activist judges that put that false idea and law into being.

The first amendment does not say that there is a separation of church and state!

The forum will show where Senator Obama and Senator McCain really stand on each issue rather than say one thing yesterday and something else today like the senator from Ill. has been doing.

And if all I get is thumbs down because of the truth so be it!

  4. I'll watch it just to see Obama get roasted about his 20 year membership in a Satanic church.

  5. every president and presidential candidate preaches about their religion during politics - it's always been like that, even though it shouldn't be

if you watch some of bush's speeches (among other presidents) you will notice him thanking god alot...

  6. People vote mostly on issues that have nothing to do with running the country.  Going to church every sunday is more significant to many people than whether you know your a$$ from a hole in the ground.

  7. As a non-American, I'm always amazed at the close relationship of church and state in the USA.  Many of your politicians seem to be in bed with the powerful religious groups, which would be a worry to me if I was there. In my country (Australia) there is a very big division between church and state, and believe me, we're all very glad that there is.

  8. when has religion not come into play during an election? Having a forum at a church in no way violates separation of church and state.

  9. I would like to know where that is in the constitution.

  10. There is no such thing as separation of Church and State. You will not find this in the Constitution of the United States nor in US Code. It is mentioned in some letters my cousin once wrote to a church. That's it.

Thomas Jefferson mentioned the phrase while writing to a church, it does not appear anywhere else. What is in the constitution does not say that the Government should or has to have no religion, just that it may pass no laws naming a state religion.

Did you know that the US Congress's opens each session with a prayer. And that your taxes pay for Religious services to our military and our prisons.
