GNH is the measure of how happy a nations population with their quality of life.

It states that GDP and Military assets are not the most important factors in a nations priority, the Economy becomes only a tool to make the citizens happy, instead of wealthy.

,that there is more to life than consumerism and profit margins, that people matter, their feelings matter, that their lives matter in more than their economic output/ dependency.

That more money and more things do not necessarily make one more happy than someone without, and in many cases, the poorest and most impoverished can be the happiest, and the wealthiest can be the most depressed, anxious, stressed, etc

Obviously, converting to such a policy would be economic suicide, but ignoring such ideas will likely lead to a corporate paradise, but a social dystopia, where consumerism is king. and corporations control everything.

So my question is, do either candidate support GNH? or any of those ideas? if so, they have my vote.

  1. Yes, they both support the concept.

However, an effective application of that concept to a highly complex and extremely competitive society like the US is impossible, imho.
