Do Oblivion and Oblivion: GOTY work together?

I rented Oblivion, and I want to buy the GOTY edition, will the saves and achievements work on the GOTY edition? I have a 360. Thanks.

  1. Yes, it will. If u got the goty and then got the original oblivion, then your stuff in the knights of the nine quest and shivering isles quests wont work. But luckily you got the goty after the original.
