  1. Yes.  It varies from bank to bank.

    Here is a tip.

    In the U.S.

MasterCard has an agreement with cardtronics to offer no surcharge from their machines.

    To get the no surcharge

Choose primary Credit or Credit card(Do  this as well for debit cards with the MasterCard symbol) Your bank may still charge you but you won't get the atm fee.

However,  I do not know if you are billed for the surcharge then credited later or if it is instant credit.

Use this site to find the no surcharge atm.

  2. It depends on your bank and what kind of ATM you're using. Check your bank's website.

  3. Other banks do charge. It depends on the bank

  4. The charges are usually taken from your account.  You may run your card for $20 at a different bank and their charge may be $1.50.  You'll get the $20 but your bank will deduct $21.50 from your account and show it on your statement at the end of the month.

My bank, Compass does not charge me and if I use another banks ATM with a charge they will reimburse me.  I still pay the initial fee but if I take my receipts in they will give the fee back to me. (I however NEVER get cash from the ATM so I've never done this. I only use mine as a credit card.)

  5. you will have to ask your bank

yes most banks do have charges for atms

  6. Yes I believe so !!!
