Do you find other Pagans on Pagan dating sites?

Or, do you have get-togethers?

Or do you have spouses of different religions as well?

  1. answer: all of the above.  Most pagans and Heathens meet through friends, through pagan groups, at gatherings, at school, work, whatever works.  I met my girl at school, I saw her pentagram and was intrigued.  Now I'm a Heathen and she's a pagan.

    I don't know a lot of pagan/Christian marriages.

  2. Sometimes. It worked for my husband and I.

We worked together, but neither of us knew that the other was more of the Pagan persuasion. I'd dated other Pagans in college, and consequentially... most of us met in the art department.

Me? Pantheist. Him? Atheist/Non-Theist. Both of us? Happily Pagan.

  3. My husband is an atheist. My mom (also Wiccan) was married to a Buddhist for 35 years (my dad until he died). Now she's dating some loser  and I have no idea what his religion is - I just know I don't like him. (that's unfair, I've never met him, he might be a lovely person)

We do have plenty of get togethers. We have meetups, picnics, Pagan pride events, open circles, Witches Balls, camping events, drum circles, workshops, fundraisers.... the list goes on. So there are opportunities to meet other Pagans if  you're single. There are plenty of lists and message boards too. I have heard there's at least one Pagan dating site. So yes, sometimes we marry other Pagans and sometimes we don't. It just depends.

  4. Well, it's best if a couple has compatible religious

    beliefs, of course.

I don't have much faith in online romances, and prefer

to meet a guy in person... perhaps through a friend,

or at a local private club or other organization. I won't

date them if they're a member of one of the "big three"

religions... so I find an atheist.

As we get to know each other, they usually develop a

lot of respect for my religion, and my hope is that they

choose to join the temple eventually. That would be a

plus for them, if the time comes to consider getting

    married.

    Jean

  5. Sometimes. Me, I'm marrying a Christian.

  6. My boyfriend is agnostic.

We go to pagan get togethers in our community.

I have never seen a pagan dating site, but I'm sure that, if there isn't a pagan-specific online dating service, you can search for "compatibility" or whatever according to religion, on non-religion specific dating sites.

  7. Labgrrl and I met because of a flyer for a pagan get together.

I do not think we could have stayed together so long (15 years and counting....) if we did not share a faith.

I have never seen a relationship work between a polytheist and a monotheist, but I suppose it would depend on how strongly the monotheist felt.

Most pagans really don't care about what another person's religious beliefs might be, though.

  8. Well, I can't really speak for everyone, and I'm not married because I'm only sixteen, but I'm sure there are Pagan couples out there, just like there are Pagans who are married to someone of another faith.

As far as how they met, I have no idea.  There are Pagan get-togethers, at least where I live, especially for the Pagan holidays, so couples could very well meet there.  I don't think there are any specific Pagan dating sites, none that I know of, but you could probably go on E-Harmony and find other Pagans on there as well.  We're not impossible to find, it's just a little tricky.
