Do Pakistan deserve to be in the World Twenty20 semi-finals? They may have defeated South Africa yesterday, but their form leading up to that hasn’t been up to much.

Pakistan have reached the semis by the skin of their teeth, it’s true, and New Zealand, who have been knocked out in the Super Eight stage probably played a better tournament from the group stage and into the Super Eight matches. So yes, Pakistan are probably a bit lucky.
