Yes, they make fine pets, but you should also go by whatever else they're mixed with. My dog for instance  is half boxer, shar pei, and half pit. I also have 4 cats and she has a one sided love for them, she's also good with kids and other dogs.

Pits are naturally very playful and often fearful of most things. So whatever your mix is, you should keep watch for that. But every dog has their own personality, so you shouldn't judge it based on the breed alone.

Pitbulls are the nicest dogs BUY NATURE. People raise them and breed them to be fighters. Pitbulls (before used as fighting) were used as baby watchers. People would leave their new born babies with their pitbulls.

Females are also nicer because they are female. All dogs are good dogs. Blame the owners not the breeds.
