  1. they might have white sweat hippos have red sweat so its possible

  2. I don't think that's possible. Only female mammals can lactate (produce milk), and they can only do after they have had young.

    So it wouldn't be sweating.

I don't know how Platypuses nurse their young, I assume they have nipples like all the other mammals. However, they are the only mammal that lays eggs so they could be weird in other ways.

  3. Kind of, although I wouldn't put it like that myself.  Mother platys, and their cousins the echidnas, have mammary glands but no nipples.  The milk emerges from various pores in that gland rather than coming out concentrated at one central point; a teat.  I suppose you could call that sweating in a way.  Nevertheless, it only happens at pores in the skin of the mammary glands.

  4. no it's impossible but females do nurse by feeding them their milk and it's one of the 3 species of mammal thet lays eggs like the 2 species of echidna.

  5. Haha you much be watching the Phinius And Ferb commercials

    lmao

I was just wondering the same thing after watching that, so I looked it up.

Haha, your answerers are all correct!

  6. nooope

  7. Kind of.  They don't have nipples.  The milk is secreted from the skin and I don't know how localized the milk production is.  I don't know if it is just the belly, or a much larger area of the body where milk can come out.

    Good question.

    Star for you.

  8. Actually.. more or less..YES!

Mammary glands in mammals really are heavily modified sweat glands.  In the more primitive Monotremes, which includes the platypus, there are mammary glands but no teats.  When lactating, the mother just excretes milk out of pores in the skin and the young licks it off the mother's abdomen.  The mother has groves specifically designed to trap milk that is excreted out.
