Do Playstation 3 read flash files?

I have a book in flash format (micromedia flash). If i copy it to my usb drive and paste it in my PS3, will it read it?

  2. It might, and it might not.

    Flash player is owned by Adobe (Macromedia is one of their other names or something) and Adobe has seen fit to never make the current version of Flash player available for any operating system other than Windows or Mac. That means that linux and ps3 don't get the good version, which is needed to play more than 90 percent of currently existing Flash video. What we get is an older, open-sourced version which was all Sony was allowed to include in the firmware, because Adobe wanted too much money or wouldn't let them port the current version or some other reason that's all Adobe's fault.

    So the upshot is try it and see. I give it about a 1 in 10 chance that your book is an older version of Flash that the ps3's Flash player can handle. If not, that's life, except for complain to Adobe.
