Do Pocket PC programs work on Windows Mobile 6 (or at least without threat of messing Winmo 6 up)?

Do Pocket PC programs work on Windows Mobile 6 (or at least without threat of messing Winmo 6 up)? I'm interested in installing this GPS program on my Windows Mobile 6.0 phone, and the program says it's for Pocket PC 2002. What's the worst that could happen - it shouldn't corrupt the file system some PDA "registry" or anything, right? I have heard of another person who has the same PDA as having installed it, but I'd like to be careful with this new phone of mine!

Well the worst that could happen if it didnt work or uninstall would be that you would have to do a hard reset .That would eliminate anything you have on it and reset it back to factory default settings.As long as you have backed up all of your info like contacts ,appointments etc .you will  be fine.
