  1. of course you'll see better, and if your eyes are straining from not being able to see, glasses help prevent your eyesight from getting any worse. go to the optometrist to get the suitable prescription. if you can read what i'm writing, that is.

  2. It will appear to be better as you look through the lenses. Your actual eyes will not change and your vision will be the same when you take the glasses off. Having glasses does not "fix" or "ruin" your eyes.

  3. Glasses just help you see a little more better.  I hear that laser surgery helps your vision, but I'm not too sure about it.

  4. you will see better, but your eye sight will not get any better

  5. you will see better but there is a belief that you do 'outgrow' your eyeglass prescription and will have to have it changed periodically. ask your eye doctor if you are a candidate for laser surgery. this is a proceedure done to correct eye problems so you do not have to wear glasses. it is a permanent and very effective way to correct eyesight problems. since you are 15, he or she may feel you need to wait a few years, but it's worth checking into.

  6. Some  hard contacts actually reshape the eye temporarily, but glasses do not.  Your eyesight without your glasses will probably never be better than it is now.  Eyes often get worse whether you get glasses or not.  It's part of living.

  7. Like some others have said, vision does not get better or worse by wearing the glasses. It is all about the shape of the eye and how light focuses. The prescription is actually a formula for curvature, which allow the light to come to the right focus on the retina.

At your age your vision can change from year to year until about age 20, where it can level off. You are at the right age for contacts, so if you are self conscience about your glasses this will be a nice benefit for you. Discuss that with your parents and your doctor at your next exam.

You wouldn't be a candidate for corrective surgery for several more years.

  8. It never gets better without surgery, but as long as you wear your glasses faitfully it shouldn't get any worse.
