Do pen guns really exist? I havee also heard that some people are capable of making homemade pen guns (but no,I am NOT willing to make one) I've been looking in veho.com but cant find any video on one of those homemade pen guns, can anyone find me a few videos somewhere online of one of those pen guns. But I have seen those cell phone guns on the internet but I cant seem to find a video of pen guns. All of the pen gun videos I see are kids makeing rubber band pen guns, but pen guns that fire real bullets actually exist? Are some criminals really cabable of making homemade guns? Like a police video showing the weapons they have confiscated or something similar?

I AM NOT PLANNING TO MAKE ONE, I JUST ALL OF A SUDDEN GOT INTRESTED IN CRIMINALOGY AND THE KIND OF WEAPONS THEY USE! I'm just curiouse.

  1. lol idk

    probs

  2. Prpbably, although I think they're illegal.

If you doa websearch on penknives however, you can find them or like 3 dollars someplaces!

  3. --- Indeed they do exist. In fact I own one, which I used during the 21 years I worked as a Deputy Sheriff. Even though I was a full time law enforcement officer because I owned it personally I was required to register it with the ATF ( now called BATF ) and have the required tax paid. I also own a 9mm sub-machine gun which I also had to register. On that one I also had to pay out for a $200 tax stamp for possession of a full auto weapon.

--- The pen gun I have is a 22 magnum cal and looks just like a pen and writes like a pen, but when the special trigger is activated it fires a single 22 magnum bullet out where the eraser was, the eraser being a fake. The pen gun was designed primarily for use in hostage negotiations where the suspect was not cooperating and appeared that he would soon harm someone. Having a pen on a negotiator was nothing unusual so most bad guys never thought to check it. I consider myself fortunate that I never had to use it on a person.

--- The pen gun was considered an "any other weapon" to the ATF as well as other weapons officers often have such as stilettos or switch blades. As an officer you either get the permits and register them or your department owns them and you just use them. In my agency and era we owned them our selves.

--- Now remember I am talking about a legitimate manufactured gun, NOT some sleazy street zip gun. Mine cost about $120 back in 1977.

--- I have placed some links in the source box for you to look at [a] is a sort of pengun being sold though its a bit James Bondish. [b] is a story about pen guns with some photos.

--- [c] is a you tube site about the American Derringer pengun which is similar to the one I had but mine was a lot smaller. But it gives you an idea.

---- NOTE-- possession of any such weapon in the USA is a FEDERAL CRIME with mandatory penalties up to 10 years as well as being illegal in almost every state too. DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT MAKING OR GETTING ONE without going through the BATF procedure as well as your states. Even if you have one you could only have it at home because it would be a concealed weapon the second you go out the door.

  4. it is possible I'm mean if you had small enough bullets and a strong enough chamber to house the explosion of the bullet, now this sound fun lol
