I am interested in knowing if the built-in water purification system on a typical refrigerator (this one being a GE model) remove the fluoride from the water? My chemistry professor in college maintained that fluoride is a known human carcinogen and that it provides no net health benefits provided you actually take care of your teeth on your own. I am not a fan of fluoridated water as I have seen studies that show fluoride leads to all sorts of health problems. But that aside, I am not looking for a debate about the merits of fluoride, only information about what sort of filters are needed to remove it from my water.Thank you. :)
