Question:

Do Republicans & Democrats perpetrate city mouse / country mouse ideology?

As someone who has lived in Missouri, Virginia, Texas, and now California- it is easy for me to see differences in opinion. Life is lived very different and each place has it's own rules. Without walking a mile in someone else's shoes it is very hard to understand the differences. I also find it interesting is that people in urban settings don't understand what it's like to be in a community on their own- and people who live rural or new suburbs don't understand the weight of living in a major metropolitan city. Point being are Republicans and Democrats trying to force their ideology on us or trying to effectively and transparently govern with an emphasis on responsibility and actions that benefit/affect the majority?

  1. Yes.

I think it is hard for a majority of Americans, myself included, to completely relate to the opposite side of their political beliefs.

I'm a city person. I don't get Sarah Palin AT ALL!

I'm sure rural people don't get Obama at all.

At the end of the day, we all just vote with what we know and with our own best interests.

Not saying its right, but I think its human nature.
