As a Republican AND a woman, I almost spit my coffee out when I heard this announcement.  I think it's a complete joke.  Republicans who admit she's the best person for the job are the same die hard card carrying memebers that can't admit George Bush's failures.  If I wanted a hockey mom with little experience running the country, I would have nominated myself.  Heck at my corporate job, I manage a bigger budget than Palin.  If the Republican party wants to restore respect and integrity to their party, they better start acting in a more intelligent manner.  I'm embarassed.

I think Palin will make an awesome VP, but as to who wins the election after McCain finally retires - I can't guess this early - 8 years alot can change!

I'd love to see her as president one day. She's intelligent, articulate, and very principled. She's new on the scene, which--if anything--makes her more likable than people like Biden and McCain who have made careers out of working in politics.

Dear God no!  With all the amazing people McCain could have picked, he screwed up big time.  It's totally obvious why he picked Palin and it was for all the wrong reasons.  Say what you will McCain supporters, he could have picked a lot better and if you don't know that, you are deluding yourselves.

And if Palin is 1st female Prez? Founding fathers are rolling in their graves.

I don't think she's necessarily the best.  I do think, however she's light years better than the alternatives: Obama and Biden!
