The Mazatec Indians have been cultivating this plant for a very long time and they use the leaves in a drink.  They do not use extracts because there is no need to with that method of ingestion. Americans seem to smoke everything and since the regular leaf needs a high level of vaporization to transmit the effect, people started making extracts.

you need to smoke a lot of leaves to feel anything, youll basically get cancer by the time you feel anything. I would just get extract(10x+) . Remember one hit and hold it in for a long time.
