  1. What that means:)

  2. They will when Obama wins the Presidency.

  3. Goerge.W.Bush or The Pope.

  4. allah

  5. No.    Saudi Arabia was the invention of Ibn Saud, and his Wahabi associates.  He united a country which in large part did not want to be united, and which will fragment as soon as the ruling family (actually a ruling tribe) is removed from power.  Big chunks of Saudi Arabia rightfully belong to neighbouring states, such as Yemen.

  6. Some guy named Mohamed

  7. Prince Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz he is working towards the prosperity of the country and peace

Prince Fahd Ibn Abdel Aziz al Saud he concentrates in education he is a pioneer

King Khaled he was a liberal king

  8. i think king faisal is the right answer

you will notice that a lot of guys who born in the 70s are named faisal

it was not only for the strong position of oil embargo of 1973 but much more

most of our older people (fathers and uncles) met in person king faisal, as he was very accessible

and i never heard less than great stories about him from those people. many impressive stories about his memory and clever dialogues

also i hear stories from different people who worked in ministries and government institution and they said king faisal was so sharp,

and into people .. for any problem, he will look into people side

  9. religious we have our prophet  Mohammad

we should do every things like he did it

he help people from dark to see the real world

and king Abd alaziz  consider national hero

cause he collect all Saudis together

  10. OSAMA BIN LADIN.

    He fight for Islam.

  11. me

  12. well...we don't glorify individuals and place them on a pedestal....it's part of our faith. however, there are great figures that we admire and respect for thier keen eye, services to islam, patriotism and overall "do gooders"...these differ according to what a single person considers a "good" thing or an important "accomplishment"...

for instance some people think of King Abdul Aziz and associate him with unifying tribes and scatterred regions to form an organized country with systems, laws and plans for the future under one flag....others see him and think he and his family forced such a unity and had no right to do so...

so you'll have both ends of the spectrum when discussing any figure.....

there are those that there's no question about the stuff they did, ofcourse (and i really shouldn't feel the need to even mention this cause it's given) Allah, then prophet Mohammed PBUH, the prophets and messangers of Allah since the begining of time. after that you'll have the good companions and followers of the prophets, great scientists..astrologers...writers..poets... and historians of arabia....

personally King Faisal Al-Saud came to mind the moment i read "national hero"...i think his stand is considered heroic by most arabs...a chinese cab driver in hong kong went on and on on how great, brave and smart King Faisal was the moment he found out i'm saudi...needless to say i was floating on air with pride...

reading newspapers and watching the news....King Abdullah is our modern day hero ....he's moving and shaking every little of idle bit all over saudi...enough is enough, that's what he's saying...it's time for us (saudi arabia) to be what we should've been years ago...and he's taking the express shuttle to get us there...God bless him

people inn south of saudi would consider prince Khalid alfaisal and his son to be thier modern day heros as well..they sufferred for quite a long time before those two put them back on the map...

there are many examples like this...there are our local heroes too...Abdul Latif Jameel and his foundation for example. we have so many to mention...including arabs from other countries...shiekh Zayed is among them.

then there are the forgotten heroes...the everyday men and women who struggle and work hard with passion, hope and faith to bring this country to its best despite all the difficulties and attacks.....the saudi mother, and father....my true heroes and i pray i am strong enough to mold my self as a citizen and parent to thier model.

  13. Who is the national hero of the British??

  14. Prince Ali! Fabulous he!

    Ali Ababwa

  15. not really... we dont tend to put people up on a pedestal.. Its part of Islam.. not putting anyone up before God/Allah...

but im sure each and every person may have someone they admire or someone whose done great things for the country.. Most people will say Allah first.. then Mohammed 2nd.. and then the smattering of men thereafter that did things for us ^_^
