I have 24hrs time gap betn my flights at Singapore & I think its a good opportunity to see Singapore, but I m not getting any satisfactory information from Singapore airlines about transit visa or accomodation facility.

  1. I'm fairly certain that you can go out and leave the airport.  Check their website for info and maybe e-mail them if you can't find it there, but they're always offering things to stopover passengers, so I'm sure it must apply to everyone (offers such as free tours etc).

When you arrive in Singapore, ask at the transit desk too (which you will pass as you leave the gate and go into the departure lounge).  I'm not sure if you have to collect your luggage or not, but I would think not if it is a continuing flight (but if you ask, they'll tell you what to do).

EDIT: check out the Changi airport site which should be able to help answer some of your questions:

  2. It is the customer's responsibility to arrange any necessary visas for their journey.  Check http://www.delta.com/planning_reservatio... for a definitive answer.
