Do Singapore check the water from Malaysia before distributing to our homes?

Nope, comes straight over though one big black pipe.  But hey, why would Malaysia waste money on perfectly good poison when you could just turn a 12 inch ball valve 45 degrees and cause everybody to die of thirst?  If I were you I would install rain collectors immediately.  Sorry to break that fact to you, but I may be saving lives here, I never know.
