Do Sony Ericsson cell phones need special memory cards?

My dad bought three memory cards (2gbs each) off of woot for 30 dollars. It works fine in my mom's cell phone but it mine it gets stuck.

The memory card that it came with is a large larger than the one that we bought.

My cell phone is a W580i.

Looks like one of those only it's 512mbs or something.

yes the sizes are different

it can be memory stick duo or micro

I have never used the Kingston but the micro sd cards should all be the same size. Are you able to get the scandisk card in and put without it getting stuck?
