Do Spain have their own low-cost airline?

I'm booking flights going out with Flybe as they are the cheapest - but I want to book the return flights with another company to hopefully get more of a deal. Are there any low-cost airlines in Spain that I can book direct with?

  1. Have you tried IBERIA AIRLINES who are based in Spain I think. They do have offices in many airports. Might be worth a try.  You could also try the XL airlines who I think took over many of the flights to Spain ++ for Budget Travel.

  2. I must say I'm very surprised you say Flybe are the cheapest to Spain, as I've never found that to be the case.

I would have suggested Easyjet, Ryanair (both with many Spanish destinations) & Air Berlin (who fly from Stansted to Alicante, Malaga & Palma and from Manchester, also to Palma).   But you could try these for your return trip, depending on where you're going.

Veuling are one of Spain's cheapest airlines but, unfortunately, do not fly to UK.   Clickair and Spanair are very limited in their flights to UK, with Valencia, Seville and Palma being among the departure airports to Heathrow.

My many flights to Spain are usually with Easyjet, but occasionally with Thomsonfly, and I must say Flybe have never got anywhere near either of those two, on price.   I do tend to book very early, however, when prices are released.
