  1. they challenge me... but I think it's merely because I find them so boring that I always feel like contradicting them.

For instance, you'll find me fighting against any religious taboo... to the point where people usually consider me an atheist, yet I'm not. It's just that so many times taboos lead to fanatic defenders of them and it's really hilarious to provoke such people...

  2. they make me laugh, to be honest...

  3. If by challanging, it can change the belief of others, I take it by all means otherwise they all repel me for sure.

    Regards

    Vinay

  4. Taboos are interesting.  Some we understand.  Others we don't because we've forgotten the reason they exist. Those I'm curious about and I like to research them.

  5. Taboos actually fascinate me, I like to try and figure them out rather than criticize them, and try to understand the motive or the compelling force behind them.

  6. That depends on the taboo. Some taboos are just silly, while others have solid reasoning behind them. Many things which are taboo at one point in time will no longer be taboo at a later time. Some things which are taboo in one culture are not taboo in another culture. By learning about the specific taboo and the reasoning behind it, I can decide if it's one I'd like to test or if it's one I'd rather just leave alone.

  7. They do neither!

Actually,  they intrigue me,  make me curious!  I break them only if assured of the harmless consequences.

  8. Mostly they irritate, but one should respect the culture from which they originate.

  9. depends on the taboo....
