Im seriously considering a career in tattooing. what i really want to know, is if artists really truly love what they do every day, or if it kinda gets old sometimes?

Also, did any of you go to college, art school?

  1. I'm not an artist, but it seems like most artists love what they're doing for the most part.  Of course they are much more enthused about some pieces they're doing than others, but as artists they have the right to refuse service to anyone, depending on the policies of their shop I'm sure.

  2. when i went to get my tattoo (i am in art school) they guy laughed at me because i am going to art school.  so i dont think he went to art school he was saying something about going to the local drawing partnership in town.

  3. For the most part, it's a lot of work and a lot of fun. But there are a few bad apples in every barrel that make it tedious sometimes. Jerks that scream at their wives on their cell phones, tipsy people who won't hold still, people that want you to change something or add to it, after they've already agreed on a pattern and the price. Just like any work, it has it's drawbacks. But these people are by far a minority. Sometimes getting up the ambition to do something you really don't want to do is a real drag. But for the most part it's okay. Sure beats having some idiot tell you to get your butt up on that roof! Pay is good... Air conditioning... not complaining! Some art school, been drawing since I could hold a pencil. Thanks for the question!
