  1. Yes they hurt, but how much - that depends where do you put them. I have tattoo on my back not on my wrist so i don't know how is it if you put it on your wrist! You wouldn't get any tattoo without  pain but if you really want it f*ck the pain and just get it!

    :D

    P.s. GOOD LUCK!

  2. It hurts...it feels like someone is sticking a sharp object on a burn..but if its small you should be fine..i have 4 all pretty big and im a BIG baby.  If I can do it you can.  It doesnt matter if your skinny or fat it all hurts the same...my ankles skinny and it hurt just as much as my back were my love handle is!

  3. If you are too concerned with the pain then you shouldn't get one. My first tattoo is on my back and I have angel wings and it only really hurt by my spine my second tattoo is behind my ear and that hurt less that the one on my back. If what you want really means something to you then don't worry about the pain.

  4. I tooo considered the idead of getting a tatooo on my wrist, the sncient pyramid sand the sscred hesart, I big chicken

  5. Yes, it will hurt.  That part is not fleshy so there are lesser tissues to cushion the skin.  But if you really want it, then go for it.  Pain is part of the tattoo process and you will eventually have to go through it anyway.

    Good luck!

  6. i have one on each wrist and i have very boney wrists. it wasn't the best feeling in the world but it was definitely tolerable. don't worry, you can make it through. i'm even planning on adding on to my wrist tatts :-)

  7. It totally depends on where you get thwem I am guessing that if it is on your wrist then yes it will hrt, but niot as much as uit would hurt in other places.

  8. it depends on your threshold for pain. but yes it will hurt....will it feel like you got your arm stuck in a paper shredder while i happily pour rubbing alcohol on it...no. but will you be uncomfortable during the process...um..yeah.

  9. Yes it hurts, its not completely unbearable though. It one of those pains that you forget about after a while. Some tattoo parlour's can offer a numbing cream to put on the area before they start doing the tattoo

  10. Because it is on your wrist, the wrist bones are very close to the surface, so yes, it will hurt.

But not half as much as it will hurt when you pay the bill to have it removed in 10 years.

  11. I've not got one, but you know, it is loads of tiny needles piercing your skin and you have a plaster thing over it for a few days I think, which probably means it will be sore.

  12. I have a two friends who just recently got tattoos on their wrists and they said it hurt like a *****.. apparently right in the middle if your wrist...

I have a tattoo ... i honestly don'tt think it was that bad.. i just depends where you get it and how deep the tattoo artist is actually going...

  13. It really depends on how you tolerate pain. I have one a little above my wrist (more like my forearm)... and it really hurt me. I was almost in tears.

I got a huge one across my back, and didn't even flinch. So it really depends on how you handle pain.

  14. use the search bar

as if this wasn't a completely obvious question, you refuse to use this site the way it was intended...

generally, thousands of needles going into your body hurt.......

but I guess I shouldn't expect common sense from somebody who didn't realize that this exact question had been asked thousands of times on here

    honestly though, good luck

  15. no its not THAT painfull. it will sting everytime the needle goes into your skin, its fast, so after a while its going o get numb.

  16. I had my first tattoo done on my wrist about 5 weeks ago,no it didnt hurt. I had thought about having it done for years,i love my tattoo but make sure your ready to live with it for the resr of your life, otherwise, get it somewhere else.

  17. Oh yeah. Wrist tattoos hurt anyway. If you are really thin then it is going to be quite painful for you.

I would recommend getting it somewhere else if you are not good with pain.

  18. Some people say it hurts like h**l, others say the pain is manageable.

But yes, it will hurt. Most likely a lot.

  19. Yes it hurts but how much depends upon the skill of the tattoo artist...mildly uncomfortable to lots of stings   It won't be agony...unless later you want to remove it. If it is very personal, perhaps you should have it done to a covered part of your body.

  20. The inside of your wrist is very sensitive - and that tattoo would hurt.

  21. i have heard that they hurt but its pain that you can live with.

it cant be that bad or noone would have one.

it will only go under a few layers of skin so its not like being cut or anything, its just like a few needles at a time pricking the skin.

    it will be fine!!

  22. I'm far from skinny but i'm very heavily tattooed. all tattoos hurt especially in areas like you wrist where there is no fat.The pain is only bad for a short while then it gets kind of numb. If you really want one you can handle the pain. It's not that bad.

  23. I personally don't think tattoos hurt. Of course, it all depends on the person and the area where the tattoo will be inked. The inside of your wrist probably won't be the easiest place to get tattooed but I don't think it will be agony, either. If you keep it small, it shouldn't be too bad. The session won't last too long and you'll be out of there in no time. It'll probably irritate you more afterwards, with all the scabbing and washing and stuff. If this tattoo represents something personal to you, I say go for it! The pain is momentary.

  24. When I got my first tattoo the artist that inked me gave a great analogy to describe the pain and it was perfectly accurate:

"Getting a tattoo feels like you have a bad sunburn and someone is dragging a toothpick across it."

In my opinion, it felt just like that! Getting a tattoo is definitely more of an 'annoying' pain than an 'ouch-that-hurts-so-bad-and-I-want-to-cr... type of pain. After the first two minutes your body will afferentate to the sensation of the needle and it will be a walk in the park after that! Especially if it's small! Good luck! :)

  25. It's not really pain it's more a stingy feeling, at times I thought it felt like someone drawing on you with a biro (not sore at all). I have a charm bracelet round my ankle and the only bits that hurt at all were right on the bone so was only for a v short time. It is honestly nothing to worry about. Worst pain was about akin to a deep cat scratch or plucking your eyebrows./ It can be a bit weird when it's right over the bone as you can feel the vibrations, kinds stings kinds tickles but I promise you it's not half as bad as what you will be expecting.

So - might sting a wee bit but will certainly not be agony and if you really want it for personal reasons (each charm on mine relates to something or someone close to me) then I think it's a great idea and you will not regret it. Got forth and get inked !

    Good luck x

  26. I am really skinny and got the inside of my wrists tattooed.  I didn't think it was bad at all.

I have quite a few tattoos and I found the sensation of being tattooed in the inside of my wrists really...interesting. It is different.  Most tattoos sort of feel like you are being sliced by a really hot razor blade (that sounds a lot worse than it is but my husband is a tattoo artist and that is pretty much the closest approximation he found that everybody seemed to agree on) but there was a bit more sting to the inside of the wrists then is typical, at least for me.  I didn't think that made it harder to stand, just different from the rest of the experiences I've had.  Of course they hurt but I don't find them to be unbearable.  You are basically having a big ole' open wound inflicted on you (it is akin to a burn when it is healing) so there will naturally be pain involved.  How well you can tolerate it depends on your pain threshold.  If it were total agony there wouldn't be so many people with full body suits, right?

Just remember to take slow, deep breaths, remember to eat before you go and remember to tell your tattoo artist that this is your first tattoo and you are a bit nervous.  They will help you through the experience.  After it is over, remember to tip your tattoo artist (15-20% is fine).  You will be fine!

  27. I won't lie - they do have some pain involved but is it unbearable? I don't think so. Unfortunately it varies by person and what you're pain tolerance is. My opion, when they're on bone they are less painful to me than on the softer tissue. I had a pretty large piece done on my back and the bone didn't hurt, but when they got on the sides where like "love handles" would be - that was more painful. I was in teh chair for 5 hrs that day so considering the size and the location - you should be fine. I'm even terrified of like shot needles and I could do it. Good luck - try not to think about it and have your anxiety up - may hurt more mentally.

  28. iv had one on my wrist, calm down for gods sake it doesnt hurt and isnt agony!

i thought id jump up off my seat when i got it done, but i just sat down, and as soon as he started i said "is that it?"

it just feels like a blunt knife scratching you slightly, its nothing really, and its like pins and needles.

get the tattoo done and stop thinking about the pain, imagine the cool tattoo youl get when its finished ;-)

  29. Yes in one word.  I have about 15 tattoos.  I've also got a celtic band on my wrist, that wasn't so painful.  The tattoist gun pierces the skin thousands of times a minute and ink is injected under the skin.  Eventually when the endorphins kick in their is no pain, but the most important thing is aftercare.  Your tattooist if he's up to anything will give you all the information you need.

  30. I got my first tattoo 3 days ago (Aug 24). I had heard that it hurts like a hot needle dragging across your skin, and that's exactly what it felt like. I had it done on my back (it's fairly large for a first time, 8"x5" in full color) and it took 90 minutes. The outline hurt less than the shading, which is opposite of what most people say, but the shading concentrated the pain in one location for several seconds instead of moving along like the outline. I didn't cry, I didn't scream, but it hurt like a mother. Part of it might be because I'm skinny and so he was hitting a lot of bone. The fleshy parts of my back didn't hurt at all when he went over them, and I'm the biggest weenie when it comes to pain. But once you commit to getting it, the pain will be bearable. And after all, what's 90 (or 30 or 120) minutes out of your life?

  31. i had mine on my inner wrist and no it didnt hurt but it was only a very small one so that could have been why i am also thin and it didnt make a difference i dont think..

If its small lettering to be honest with you it will be over before you know it it didnt hurt me at all i was scared at first but now i would have more :) x
