Do Tiger and Phil really hate each other?

The anger doesn't seem as intense as before.

I've never heard any credible source say that they hate each other.  They are both competitors and so the media makes their rivalry into more than it is.  I think that they probably have a healthy respect for one another, but are probably better friends with others on the tour.  Just like you probably aren't best friends with everyone at work or school, they probably tend to favor certain people more than others on the tour.

Nah... There may be alittle competitive "Rivalry" between the Two- but I doubt it's anything Personal. It makes for a good "Story" for the Media to "play up", that's all.  :)

No its all media hype they call it a ''Heavyweight bout" Very lame they are trying to win an individual golf tournament. Everyone says ''I Respect the man'' What are they vikings?

He as prowless of a night and shows no fear! Its golf and no matter what your playing partner does it has zero effect on your game always. They are not competing against each other they are playing a game that is always the same regardless of the course. Hit the ball into the hole whoever does that the least wins. One final thought they may be different people and just don't click maybe some people just aren't great friends so that's a possibility why their body language says otherwise.

I doubt they hang out...  but hate is a little extreme.  I know Phil sent Tiger a gift when his daughter was born.

Deep down they do.   Phillip has to hate how Tig always beats him.   Tig has to hate Phillip and his goofy smirk and lack of real respect for the game.

i doubt it, the media just portrays that in my opinion. they dont seem like friends, just aquaintances with a mutual respect for each other.

I have to say that hating each other is probably not the case, but:

Phil probably hates that Tiger has won nearly twice as many tournaments and makes more than twice as much money every year than he does.  He probably also hates that Tiger gets all the juicy endorsements and he gets the best of the left overs, and finally, he probably hates that Tiger can beat him six ways to Sunday most of the time.

Tiger on the other hand probably hates that Phil is mentioned in the same sentence as his own more times than not.  Tiger probably hates that Phil is such a mental case on the course as if Phil was tougher, it would push Tiger more (and he likes that!)  BTW it is really funny that Phil's degree is in Psychology = )

Hate is not the correct word.  They both respect each other, I'm sure, but I get the feeling Tiger isn't really all that fond of Phil.

heck no they dont.Tiger and Phil are competitors and of course they would hate each other on the course but outside on the streets nah they are best friends and they are both lucky since they are the top2 in world rankings and its cool to see them play side by side
