  1. there is no need as there is no need in Vatican...

Just carry it with you only for security reasons...

You ll be amazed with the castles of San Marino, but avoid it during italian holidays soince it is overcroweded

  2. Just keep it at your hotel. and if they ask say its at the hotel

  3. No, there is no custom or any border, etc. It`s at the top of a beautiful hill. No Passport needed.

  4. There's no need. People can visit San Marino or Vatican State without knowing when and where they passed the frontiers, there's no Custom at all. All the hill of San Marino is one only visit, overall the castle with their museums. You can also buy, if you are a collector, the entire series of San Marino's Euros or some beautiful stamp. Don't forgive your camera!!!

  5. There are no custom checks between San Marino and Italy.

It is wise to carry your passport with you in Italy, also if you are driving your car documents. If you get stopped by the Polizia they may ask you for these. Certain luxury items are supposedly tax free in San Marino, but as a UK citizen I had to pay tax at the UK rate on items over £300. Spirits, wines, jewelry and the like are reasonable cheap. There are a number of museums and churches to visit. Unfortunately there is no longer the San Marino Grand Prix, which was actually in Imola.I reccomend staying at the Hotel Grand San Marino
