Do UFC Fighters get free medical care for life?

Question

I know this sounds like a dumb question. But, since they don't get paid that much, do they (at the very least) get medical benefits - considering that they put their bodies on the line?

*Chances are that nobody really knows the answer to this question (unless you're an MMA fighter). But, what is your educated guess?

they dont get free medial care for life. some fight companys just like anyother company offer some sort of benefits. sometimes free somwtimes they have to pay and when they are no longer with the company they no longer get the insurance. IFL gives out a insurance to there fighters. Buy the way i know that the IFL pays about 50-60,000 for there fighters (top) plus indorsments

no one get free Medical...health insurance is offered partial by the UFC for example other organizations i dont know. they are suppose to get their health care thru their agent if they are an active pro-fighter. and they get paid alot actually...more than most of us anyways the lowest salary ive ever seen in the UFC was 3000 bucks that was to a new comer who lost you get double if you win. fight bonuses as well range from 35 to 50 grand. they get a share of the PPV buys. and they get endorsements from sponsors and events

no they don't get free medical benefits for life they have to pay for it just like we do.

And for the first person(IDIOT) that answered the question actually the lower end guys you see opening ppv's make about $7,000 a fight not anywhere near 40k.    frank Mir only made 80k to headline a ppv against brock lesnar.

NO they dont even if they were disabled for life from a fight they still wouldnt they d get a law suit and settle and thats that but they know the risks when they enter the ring

Absolutely not. They get paid for fighting but there is no health plan. But what do you mean, "they don't get paid that much?" The lower end fighters make over 40Kper fight. If you fight twice a year (most of them fight 5-6 times) you're looking at plenty of money for living and medical expenses.
