  1. true

  2. Partially true.  UPS strictly controls where a driver can go and how he delivers his route.  They do time studies and found that if they plan the route to have as many right turns as possible, there is a fuel savings.  There is also a safety bonus, since right turns are less dangerous than crossing a lane of traffic for left turns.  If the left turn makes economical sense, then a left turn is what the driver will make.

UPS drivers aren't allowed to leave their route zones for lunch or any other reason.  This eliminates wear and tear on the trucks and saves fuel.  If there's an ounce of fuel to be saved, UPS will find a way to save it.

  3. They don't have to, but they do their best to plan their routes so that the majority of turns are to the right.

  4. No.  I saw a UPS Truck turn left onto my street today.
