Do US Postage stamps go bad?

I used to collect postage stamps back when you had to l**k them. If I was to start collecting modern selfstick stamps would the adhesive stain or ruin the stamp over time?

Good question. I used to work for a mail order company that sold stamps to collectors. The self adhesive stamps are probably made with long lasting glue - most stamp issuing agencies know that a big part of their market is to collectors who don't use 'em for postage.
