  1. aside from artifacts, they are actually now discovering what to grow/cultivate in lands where ice used to be. take Greenland, they're starting their green campaign now, so they are happy about the melting of the ice on their land.

  2. Probably... but hurry.. being out of the freezer, uncovered stuff  will rot.

  3. well global warming isnt real so no

  4. There are already interesting discoveries now-gigantic marine life in Antarctic waters!

If I allow my imagination to run wild, we may uncover ancient cities and perhaps, living civilisations who've preferred to keep their distance because of our warring ways :(

  5. doubt it because ice is freezing water and bones and stone tablets would fall to the ocean floor not get trapped in freezing surface water.

  6. no, no one lived in the ice caps anyway, so when those melt everyone else will just be flooded and there will be no land left  everyone will be dead so no one will discover anything ever again.  i cant believe how selfish people are .  if people were like me the world would be way better ya know.

  7. Hmm, I hadn't thought about it before, but it makes sense.  I don't think there will ancient maps though...Maybe some fossils.

  8. Glaciers grind everything to a pulp, so when they recede, there will be very little evidence left, but I think they will find a lot of new things regardless of this.

  9. Excited about the unknowns that could be discovered, but equally concerned about a statement made in a science program on Discovery Channel, that I haven't been able to locate since.

The concern about what, if any, kinds of bacteria or microbes that have lay dormant in this ice pack, for hundreds of thousands of years. Bacteria that could have an unknown effect on humans or marine life.

I'm not implying sci-fi here, more the thought of how many viruses, bacteria and microbes that took thousands of years for us to evolve an immunity to.

  10. yes i beleive so cuz just like that movie national treasure the guys found that ship in the middle of the ice cap and they were all like how did it get there and it was all because of the waves briging it in and then the ice hardend and so it was really deep inside of the ice cap...so there could also be other things inside the ice....~~~ get what i mean

  11. Many think Atlantis is beneath the Ice  of Antarctica

    what could be more interesting

  12. Yeah like the acorn on ice age(the film)!

  13. it may happen but it will result in destruction all around

  14. Probably more mammoth skeletons or even preserved mammoths will be found.
