    They are from mythology.

    They got credence because the translators of the King James Bible found words for animals the Hebrew that they didn't know. They translated "wild oxen" as "Unicorns."

    They did this for two reasons.

    One was because King James was fond of mythology.

    Two because the Unicorn is on the British coat of arms and they wanted to use that to support the claim that the British represented the lost tribe of Israel.

  11. There have been several skeleton remains that have been found that have been I-d'ed as unicorns.... And since people do not bother to research answers to their questions because they are just to lazy to do so.......... Many of their question's manage to go un-answered..........
