Do United States police officers have a databank of Canadian license plates?

Usually the police run a license plate through their computer to make sure a vehicle isn't stolen/ on the wrong vehicle etc. What I am curious about is if someone has a canadian license plate in the US are the police able to find the license plate number in their computer?
