  1. No We dont have bones in our toungue we just have veins and other things veins could fee like a bone because its hard but no its deffitnly a vein because when my sister got her tounge pierced she said to the guy whats inside my tounge and he said just veins thats why i have to be carefull because if you touch one inside the body you can die instantly.

  2. umh no.

  3. Yes we have bones in our tongue. You've got bones in your arms and legs and you can move them and do tricks.

  4. lol no there's no bone in our tongue. Our tongue however happens to be the most strongest muscle in our body. And that is because.. just like you said.. it can roll up like a burrito and do all sorts of tricks lol.

  5. No. The tongue is just a muscle. No bones.

  6. Are you serious? no, you don't have bones in your tongue.

  8. The amount of people answering that the tongue does have bones is stunning. First off, just feel your tongue with your fingers. Are there any bones in there? Go ahead and read the wiki article below and check out the anatomy of the tongue to see that there are no bones. Also, don't believe this nonsense about the tongue being the strongest muscle, it is more urban myth.

  9. No, we do not have bones in our tongue.

  10. I don't think so mainly because of the reason you listed: our tongues can do 'tricks'

  11. Hmmm...I don't know. Great question though! Star for you =)

I'm pretty sure we don't though...have you ever heard of someone breaking their tongue?

  12. no honey,

just muscle, its very strong body tissue. your tongue is the strongest muscle in your body, if it had bones in it you wouldnt be able to twist it and it wouldnt be that flexible. maybe those kids at your school have some bones in their brains :P

  13. no, just muscles  =D

  14. Absolutely not. The tongue is made up of many groups of muscle that co-ordinate with eachother to allow movement.

The front part of the tongue is very flexible and can move around a lot, working with the teeth to create different types of words. This part also helps you eat by helping to move food around your mouth while you chew. Your tongue pushes the food to your back teeth so the teeth can grind it up.

The muscles in the back of your tongue help you make certain sounds, like the letters "k" and hard "g" (like in the word "go"). Try saying these letters slowly, and you'll feel how the back of your tongue moves against the top of your mouth to create the sounds.
