  1. No they don't work.  The animals grow accustomed to the repetitive noise quickly.  Moles are meat eaters: insects, worms and grubs, and the lawn damage is from them foraging for that food.  In spite of the ads, they won't eat poison peanuts or mouse bait either.  Poison peanuts are for gophers or ground squirrels.  The only thing really effective for moles is traps.


  2. No they don't. Moles will cause a lot of damage to your lawn, which they undermine with their tunnels creating a very uneven surface. Seedbeds are wrecked by them but they dont eat the plants. I have had problems with moles for years, my faithful cat has caught as many as 8 in one day. Still they come. It appears that they respond to disturbance such as grass cutting and the regular vibration of people walking around. Constant activity in the garden will deter them, but there is no cure.

  3. I have 2  that are short. and a BB is in the tube ratteling whne the fan moves round. Im not confident in them like I am with poisen peanuts though. I know they work.
