any day of any season, very modestly dressed, with 1-2 adults with her, without hearing at least one sexual comment from all these lowlives and perverts slinking about everywhere??

  1. It happens with me sometimes, I just ignore those people.

  2. I have walked around in the city by myself before, never had that problem. I did have one comment one time but it was "Hey gorgeous" or something like that. Most of the time I was by myself. It depends on where you were too, like near the city center it's very busy and there's lots of people. In a less crowded place, was where the harassment happened.

How old is the girl (it's you)? What do you consider modest dress? It would have to be well covered (long sleeves, long pants or dress/skirt, not too low cut, not too tight, only showing hands, and neck/face.) You should be able to dress any way you want and not be harassed but maybe your idea of "modest" isn't.

Any ways, yeah it's wrong and sexual harassment. Just ignore them and walk away.

  3. Well I guess it just shows what society has deemed acceptable.

    The adults to react?  WOW

I don't know .... I didn't get it then too much ..... but then I think I walked around with a body language of more confidence than I felt. lol ..... Today, at the age of 35 years young I do get looks, and hi's but rarely do I get inappropriate comments ....... and it is usually when I am not feeling quite so confident.

    Good luck,

    Walk tall

  4. It shouldn't be what's normal but I guess sometimes it is.

    Doesn't make it right.
