  3. * Flooding, wars, explosions, fire...are these all signs that the world is really ending?

Were they ever in the past? Answer: no.

    * And can we really trust the bible when it comes to scientific problems such as this?

As much as we can trust the Bible in ANY scientific matter of this attitude. In other words, pretty much not at all.

    * How do we know?

The Bible makes claims which have been proven utterly false by modern science. For instance, that a worldwide flood took place 4300 years ago, or that the human species did not radiate until about 6010 years ago, or that human cultures did not start to spread until right after the flood.

  4. i wont like when the world ends cuz i went to school for nothing

  5. Yes. Just not right away, and sure as h**l in 2012 as some people say.

Starting in 1864, humans made major step up from single shot weapons ot the machine gun. We've made major strides since the civil war, many innovations of weapons have changed the world. Our weapons got more and more deadly, the next event gave the world an idea how far this arms race can go.

In 1945 we've gone from merely organisms capable of chaning the planet to peremently destroying it. 1945 proved that an atomic bomb is an effective way to destroy a very determined enemy by killing itself from within.

1949. Soviet union came up with their atomic bomb.

In 1962 the Cuban Missile crisis was one point in time humans was very close ot bringing all forms of life on the planet to an end.

In 2001 terrorism gets on national TV. the whole world knows within 24 hours.

2002 the US entered war in Iraq. Since then the terrorists got what they wanted: terrorizing the people and got free news coverage on their work (which terrorized the people some more). We think we're stopping terrorism, but in reality we're actually perpeuating it to go on furthur.

2005: hurricane katrina shows us that global warming should be taken seriously. And guess what? we still haven't fixed up and restored the city and its residents.

Bad things will continue for another 3-4 decades, getting more and more worse. Probably next would be either another major natural disaster that kills thousands, a out-of-control wildfire, some civil runrest that leads to all out war, another terrorist attack in the US, or a drought/famine that kills 50,000.

Earth's enviromental status has really changed in the last 200 years. its gone from mainly rural areas wit hfew people, minimal enviromental damage to massive deforestation, climate change, global warming, industrial revolutions and such. The plaent wasn't designed like this.

It'll be a combination of nature lashing out against our damages to the planet and civil unrest or some major disaster that will start the end of the world. It probably wouldn't be nuclear winter, but the world will make a sudden turn and everything will be affected.

I really doubt It's goign to happen in my life time, or not until I retire. But who knows, It could start tommorrow.

But just incase the world is ending tommorrow when that earthquake hits Los Angels, I'll be prepared ;) I have everything except lots and lots of TP. TP is all the difference between uncivialized and civilized living, being able ot wipe your butt with some toilet paper.

  6. No Grasshopper.

  7. Well all the stuff that is happining today happened all through out time (to a degree).  Its just that in middle ages and times like that they couldn't flash the news all over the world on a tv program in like 2 seconds.  I think since our world is more advanced people hear about every disaster, not just the BIG ones.

    Hope this helps!!!!! =)

  8. meh i doubt the world will end.. most likely human civilization will end because we're going to mess it up.. but the planet will be ever changing with or without us for another few billion years!

  9. It's all Bush's fault.

Vote for Hillary and your gas prices will go down.

  10. We can not trust the bible since it is just a book written by some people who did not have technology by their side and because King James changed some bits.

Global Warming is a huge factor in the end of the world or at least for most species.

  11. of course, in 5 billion years or so.

"Flooding, wars, explosions, fire...are these all signs that the world is really ending?"

no.  these certainly affect people, and the animals that depend on them.  but not the whole world.  it could be that there won't be people around, but that's not the end of the world.  (except for us, of course.)

  12. not really..

  13. Flooding, wars, explosions, fire are nothing new. The world is going on as usual. Sad as that may be.

  14. I hope not cos I have too much I want to do in my life yet xx
