  1. The Mayan calendar does not come to an end.

The Chinese oracles (or whatever else) did NOT predict the end of the world.

Nostradamus has not made any predictions that extend beyond one generation after his death.

And that's in the first 20 seconds of the video.

    Not a good start.

Then it is downhill from there.

For example, the guy with his earthquake prediction.  There are, on average, three earthquakes a day on Earth.  Once a month there is one that causes damage and once or twice a year earthquakes cause many deaths.

To say, for example, I predict an earthquake for 2009 is just as "valuable" as predicting that there will be a Full moon within the next three months.

So I think that there is still no evidence that 2012 will be any different than any other year (OK, it will be a leap year).

  2. yeah. let's make life decisions and long-term plans based on youtube videos.

    pathetic.

  3. We were suppose to die so many times I just stopped listening. So no I don't think the world will end on 2012. And for those of you that do, what are you gonna do about it? Everyone's gonna live their life regardless. It's not like your building a spaceship to Mars...are you? 0_o

  4. nope in the bible it says god will come when nobody expects it.

  5. I don't think so.  why?  no reason.  I just don't think so.

  6. This has been on Yahoo countless times.   It is total nonsense, and if you believe it you are very gullible.

  7. it will not end, i will bet my life on it

  8. Here is a list of all the apocalypses predicted in the past:

    http://www.abhota.info/end1.htm

It hasn't happened yet so why do you think it may happen in 2012?

  9. Mayans are full of sh*t.

If they could predict the end of the world surely they should have been able to predict how the Spanish would destroy them and been able to prevent it.

  10. This question is being asked again and again here.

"Thousands of people worldwide seem to be preparing, in one way or another, for the end of days in 2012. Survival groups exist in Europe, Canada and the United States. A simple Google search for "2012" and "the end of the world" brings up nearly 300,000 hits. And the video-sharing Web site YouTube hosts more than 65,000 clips informing and warning viewers about their fate in 2012. "]

  11. I'd rather watch Angry Aussie on Youtube thanks, or Rick Astley.

World ending in 2012?  Pull the other leg, it whistles 'Dixie'.

  12. NO

Nothing spectacular will happen in 2012 (unless you count the Olympics in London).

It is just a myth which mysteriously propagates (mostly because of the History Channel and YouTube)

The interpretation of the Mayan calendar thing is just plain wrong – it’s just the end of a cycle. And since calendars are based on astronomical motions of one kind or another, they are inherently cyclic. Our western calendar ends on December 31st every year!

The videos on YouTube that purport to have evidence are disingenuous to say the least. They put together pictures of other objects (e.g. Jupiter, comets even a dust shell around a distant red giant star) and try to scare people. There is no validity to their claims. They present NO EVIDENCE at all.

As for the predicted catastrophes – the most popular one seems to be the Pole Shift!

The sun will have a pole reversal that year – it has one every 11 years – it is not a problem.

The earth’s magnetic field is less predictable –

but is still nothing to worry about: we know that the magnetic field does not collapse in the process of reversing polarity- if it did, there would be major extinctions that correlate with the geologic record for pole reversals - there is no correlation.

Now let’s tackle the “Galactic Alignment”

Here’s a nice site that explains what it means, and explains that is does not happen on December 21st 2012:  http://alignment2012.com/whatisGA.htm

Also see the wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galactic_Al...

which tells you that the precise alignment of the solstice with the Galactic equator was in 1998. It did not cause problems. The Galactic Equator is purely a human construct – not a physical thing. And we do not get any closer to the black hole in the center, which remains approximately 8000 parsecs (26,000 light years) away.

It's all nonsense, created by the History Channel, allegedly for entertainment purposes...

  13. let me tell u, this rumour occured cause the solar physicists are predicting a huge super solar flare to strike the earth. but it won't be strong enough to end life, at the max, the power stations would get harmed and electricity would be gone for a few days or the satellites would get destroyed. but this can be prevented with just a warning on tim so, no need to be scared or think so much about this exaggurated rumour.

  14. No.

Ever since the 6/6/6 (June 6, 2006) End of the World scenario did not pan out, the scare mongers have been touting the 2012 End of the World scenario. When 2012 does not happen either, I am sure they will think of something else.

"But of that day or hour, no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be watchful! Be alert! You do not know when the time will come." (Mark 13:32-33)

Jesus told us in no uncertain terms that we were not to know when the end of the world would come but that we were always to be ready.

The early Christian Church thought that Jesus was going to return at any moment. Only after a couple of centuries did the Church realize that it may be 2,000 or 4,000 or 8,000 years before Jesus returns.

The Catholic Church wisely follows Jesus' advice and teaches that each of us should live as if we will meet our maker in the next ten minutes and that we need to work to make the world a better place for our 100 X great-grandchildren.

Do not worry about the end of the world. Trust God to make sure everthing happens to plan. Just be ready to meet God at any time.

For more information, about what Catholics believe about the end of the world, see: http://www.americancatholic.org/Newslett...

    With love in Christ.

  15. yeah , whatever ,

    The Wrath of RA !

  16. No but I can't wait for it!

  17. No! All this is rubbish. Stupid thinking

  18. Of course not.

This 2012 thing is only used to create TV shows and book to take money away from gullible people.

In 2013, look at all those people coming up with explanations as to why the end of the world did not happen.

  19. Not because people have saying that world will end, like first in 1995, then 2000, then 2004, then 2008, and now 2012 but we won'. If this was true we would have died this year.

  20. It is a fact that the suns magnetic activity peaks on an eleven year cycle, and it will be peaking in 2012. Although it peaks every eleven years, the one in 2012 is expected to be especially strong and will cause massive power outages and possibly destroy all of the communications satellites that orbit the earth and cause widespread panic and rioting, destabilize governments, and lead to the final world war. There are allot of people on this site that don't want you to know the truth and pretend to be experts. They are just trying to calm the fears of the masses, but when doomsday comes in 2012 there is nothing that you or anyone else will be able to do about it.

  21. Only God knows when the world will end because He created it. Don't believe all the rumors you hear. Everyone who has predicted the end of the world has been wrong so far. Live each day as if it's your last and make your life meaningful.

  22. NO,I DO NOT THINK THE WORLD WILL END BY 2012.SOME MIRACLE WILL HAPPEN TO SAVE GRAVITY.NEW BORN GRAVITY WILL SAVE THE WORLD.SHE IS CREATOR'S MESSENGER.CALCULATION OF CREATER'S AGE,KALI YUGA,BRAHMA YUGA SOME WHAT ANY WAY GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF EARTH.

  23. I watched a few seconds and had to quit because of the incredible stupidity of this thing.  In the introduction, the narrator ACTUALLY SAID:

"...because history shows a surprisingly good track record for those who say doomsday is almost here."

Doesn't the pure idiocy of that statement kinda reach out and grab you?  Look at it again.  Umm, just how many times has doomsday occurred so far? This statement would only be possible if doomsday had already occurred.  Or just how does one evaluate the accuracy of saying that something is "almost here," if it's never happened???  How close is "almost?"  They've been predicting doom for thousands of years.  The truth is that every single claim of doom -- EVER -- has been utterly WRONG, whenever any date reference is used!

After a statement like that one, I would think most people would laugh off this idiotic "documentary," as it has already demonstrated an irrational bias and utter inability to make ordinary sense out of anything.

Okay, I get it now. Somebody, no doubt using multiple IDs, has been going down my list giving three thumbs down to all my answers lately. Get a life.

  24. I doubt it highly it is just a hoax so don't worry, although the Mayan calender ends in December 2012 no biggie.

  25. No, it's an ancient Mayan based myth and nothing to it. It's one of those National Enquirer mentality inspired urban legends that mean absolutely nothing. You have a better chance of being mashed by the Queen Mary floating down Broadway than you do any Mayan legend.

    Relax.

  26. i doubt it. i mean could it happen i have no idea but it was said in history channel as well as the maya indians have decided for thier future. they were great future predictors

7 REASONS THE EARTH WILL END IN 2012-

    1. mayan calender- a si said- great future predictors

2.sun storms-scientists say that sun spots create great explosion of radiation and this happens every 11 years. it happened in 2001 last time.

    3.global warming

    4.the bible says it

    5. volcanic eruption which is likely to happen in 2012

    6.physicists say so...

7.the poles change thier positon every 750,000 years and when they do so, the magnetic field is interrupted and that protects our atmosphere which means-

    no magnetic fields-no amosphere-no life

  27. no i don't there would be any reason for it either don't listen to Mayans
