hopefully I can help since I've had both!!  I had Dish first, and the price just kept increasing and the amount of channels kept on decreasing.  and if you had any problems and called customer service, you could never speak with anyone who seemed to understand english!

well, to make a long story a little shorter, I switched to Direct and have been very happy with them!

they give you more channels at a lower price, better quality, and they keep adding channels without increasing the bill.

and if you have any questions about anything, you can always call customer service and speak to someone who does know english!!
