  5. Nepal is a wonderful country where Lord Buddha was born and which has the highest peak of world, Mount Everest. It is a developing country with the population of 23 million (according to 2001 A.D Census). Here are people of different religion, races living in a peace and harmony.

Most of the people are Hindu though the rate of Muslims and Buddhist are also increasing. The main occupation of the people of this country is Agriculture though the rate of the people engaged in service and business is increasing day by day. Most of people speak Nepali language.

Its capital city is Kathmandu. The weather in Kathmandu is always good. The people here are friendly and helpful. The main tourist center of Nepal are Pokhara, Lumbini, Nagarkot, Chitwan National Park, Sagarmatha National Park, Illam, Bandipur, Gorkha, Bhaktapur, Jomsom,  Muktinath, etc.

According to 2001 A.D Census about 92 different languages are spoken here. It is very rich in culture and arts. I think it would be better to visit Nepal from November- December. From Nov- Dec the weather is mild here.

Nepal is a country with the largest number of temples. Please, visit Nepal once. You are always welcome.

    Thank you!

  6. I had a good friend from Nepal.  He had many interesting things to say about the country.  It is one place I would like to visit.

  8. Nepal is an awesome country, I drove there from London in a truck with friends in 2000 and am going back for the first time since then only one month from now!

Nepal is known for having 8 of the World's ten highest mountains and therefore attracts a lot of trekkers but what is truly amazing about Nepal is the people. The vast majority of people will go out of their way not only to help you but to laugh with you and share whatever they have with you.

The biological diversity which exists in Nepal is both surprising given the relatively small size of the country, and unsurprising given that the Ganges starts there and there are relatively low plaines with massive amounts of vegetation.

People seem happy in Nepal. Not everything is perfect and they tend to get worked up if you insult them (fair enough), the political situation is difficult at the moment (they're evolving politically) and they seem heavily burdened by the monarchy and all the madness monarchies usually bring with them, but these are mainly issues dealt with in Kathmandu. The rest of the country is just peace on earth.

I'll be landing in Delhi and will take the hectic train ride to Gorukpur, a jeep to the border then stay for a while in Chitwan and go on a jungle safari before catching a bus up to Pokhara. I love the area surrounding Pokhara in particular but at the same time I can't wait to get back to Kathmandu. KTM is a mad city but it's also a very calm place and the destination on many pilgrims' routes which makes it a great place for meeting people, either Nepalis, Indians or western tourists. I'm really looking forward to being back there out in a village in the Kathmandu valley with a panoramic view of the Himalayas. Awesome place.
