  1. When have you ever heard anyone question whether a father should take a demanding job because of his child-rearing obligations.  Yeah, we've come a long way, girls.

We need people like Gov.Palin to show that really smart, authentic women can manage multi-faceted lives...just like men do.

  2. We're actually having a pretty heated discussion about the legality of even ASKING the question here:  http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread/36...

Love to see some varying viewpoints chime in, especially from our female constituents.

  3. No and I am completely disgusted by this. How f******  dare him? I guess if he knew his unborn baby was a down baby and knew it 5 months before birth, he would have pushed to abort because it would have interfered with his career?

I am going to think twice about watching CNN.  I think Dana Bash tried to tip toe around it but Roberts crossed a line with me.

Too bad they don't have an email contact for comments.  I looked but could not find one like so many news channels.

  4. Chances are as governor of Alaska she has probably already abdicated most of that responsibility already, either to her husband or family so she can pursue her career.

besides as she will never be VP as Barack is most likely to win the point is moot.

I sincerely doubt her pregnant minor daughter would be a sure fire vote winner either.

  5. I heard him say it and I was frankly quite surprised.  Aren't newscasters supposed to be neutral and not state their personal opinions.  He looked confused too and I think he was thinking out loud and  was surprised to hear his own voice.  What a gaff.  Too late now John.  I never thought much of him as a newscaster anyway.  Too blah, and too pale. Always looks tired and wasted.  Say goodbye to the million dollar paycheck.

  6. You know I think her nomination was great. It was a brilliant move on McCain's part. But she already had a demanding job and home responsibilities and some extra with her special needs child,it being an infant. In all honesty I think she should have turned this job down.I do see conflict and children left many days without a mother, days she can never get back.I think she will make a great anything when the time is right. She has much to give, but there is also much to lose.Life is full of choices and she made one seemingly on the spar of the moment,a momentous one,but a wrong one.I have to wonder what kind of person does that?By the tone of the questions people aren't too happy with it either, although they are thrilled and this is a thrilling time, this moment in time, but that is all it is,the decisions will last forever.Just another page in a history book.
