Yes, because there are simply things we cannot do. Say like traveling safely at the speed of light... Love to do it... Dreamt about it... But it is not happening. Its impossible.

yes, we, as a species, reach for what we do not fully comprehend. it is in our nature to push and push, that is, until it breaks. we will do anything to push the limits to what we can and cant do. there are endless things- the atom bomb, a myriad of chemicals, etc... we didnt really need most of the chemicals, i mean, look what they can do! they can eat through the flesh, solid objects, what use could we have of that? (other than the obvious. i mean, why would we use something like that? it is not safe in the slightest, and we only make most things to say we did it or we did it first...) it is just not the best idea to push our limits. eventually, there will be a point that we will exceed our boundaries, and it wont be a pretty picture. honestly, i dont want to be here to witness it, and i would prefer it not happen. but it is inevitable. eventually, something WILL happen. good question though.
