Do You Believe Ouija Boards Work?

I've heard quite a few stories. Have you ever used one? Did anything happen?

  1. According to some articles, people do start experiencing a lot of negative experiences after use of the Ouija. I'm not saying this is what happened to me, but I did start through a slump of depression within those teenage years to follow.  Then again,.....a lot of teens experience that without using a ouija board.  

    I will tell you of one experience specifically....  I was at a slumber party and was one of the people touching the board  as the questions were being asked.  Everything I was thinking was being spelled out on the board.  I started thinking maybe subconsciously I was moving it, I gave up my spot and was absolutely NOT touching the board at all!  Still.....whatever I was thinking, was being spelled out on the board.  I went so far as to think of long-sentenced answers to the questions asked.  It was still being spelled out even though I was NOT touching the board.  I can't explain it!!!Kinda freaky!!!!!  I didn't use it after that.I don't really feel like I can say it is baloney, but i don't really know. I don't want to say try it either.


  2. I think it doesn't but if it does i don't think you should be playing a game that opens up doors that you can't close later on.

  3. Yes, they do work. A bunch of friends and I were playing with one and we'd have two people on at a time and the people who were off had them ask questions that NO ONE else would know the answer to, and they were ALL answered correct. How could it be fake if they were all right and the person who knew the answer was not touching the oracle to push it to the right letters or numbers....

I used one a long time ago, and nothing happened.  The people using them make them work.  They play on your mind, and your susceptibilities and beliefs and fears.  The mind is a powerful thing, and can make you believe just about anything.  That is why the ouija board can be scary for susceptible people, not because they really contact spirits, but because your mind makes you believe that they can contact spirits.  In the end, the ouija board is just a toy that you can buy at Toys R Us and it has no supernatural powers.  It is all in your mind.

  5. I loathe them. But when my mom was little she said that she and some friends used one to make a girl float in the air and it worked. In two weeks my friend and her friends are going to use one to see what happens. But her dad warned her not to open any doors she couldn't shut.

  9. They can tap forgotten information in your memory bank,  but they can't predict the future. You may have forgotten the first phone number that your family had when you were little, but a Ouija Board will help you remember.
