  1. I think she'll benefit from having 2 chairs, especially as the babies get older and can start feeding themselves or can play in their chairs.

If money is an issue, she should have a look on Ebay or something. There are so many great and very cheap 2nd hand baby items on the net. Most of them as good as new. I wouldn't care if they're not identical.

  2. I think your friend is going to have to come to terms with the fact that 2 babies means pratically 2 of everything- regardless of the cost.. It will be more beneficial for the children as they grow to be able to sit next to each other whilst they eat etc.. Good luck to your friend and I hope she enjoys being a mum of double trouble lol x

  3. Personally  i would get 2 high chairs, cause they will be 2 babies and should get the same! Plus they can enjoy meal times together at the same time! x

  4. I would say yes, because as the babies get older, she is not going to want to take twice as long to feed them. This way she can feed them together and also eat as a family. Also she will have time for other things...like playtime. As one person mentioned she will want to keep them on the same schedule or at least try to.

  5. Yes I think 2 are needed for sure. Ideally you have meals as a family, & it will make life more difficult if she is feeding one then the other, or one in a high chair & one on the floor! Also, my son will happily sit in his highchair & play while I clean - so he is out of the way & safe - an even better idea when you will have 2 grubbing around & getting under your feet :)

They don't need highchairs until around 6 months though, so tell her not to go rushing out to get them :) Concentrate on what they will need soon - then after the birth wait until there is a good sale on chairs that she likes & layby them. The kind that strap-on to regular chairs are a good idea space-wise too. Or you could go 2nd hand, but be very careful about checking the quality & safety.

and ggl @ the mum who got 2 little baths - how were you planning on bathing them at the same time? :D Isn't mummy-brain fun, teehee :)

  6. She will need two, I have done alot of research on places that give discounts for people having multiple births. Luvs/Pampers will give a free pack of diapers, so will huggies, Toys R' Us gives a discount and so does OSH GOSH. Do an online search to find the numbers and information she will need, many of them have to have birth certificates as proof. I'm due anytime now with twin girls.

  7. As the chldren get older it would be worth while buying two as they feel like they are getting the same amount of attention and they can associate lunch/ dinner time as a family occasion and they can all join in at the same time

  8. Well, you can't squeeze 2 in 1 so I would say go for 2

  9. My younger brother and sister are twins and my mum says yes. But she says that cheaper options are buying seats that clip onto chairs or trying to get hold of second hand ones.

  10. i have twins *hence being up at 2:20 in the morn* and we are buying two highchairs for sure.  she will want to keep them on the same schedule as much as possible *often shoveling food as fast as she can in one mouth and then the other* she can wait awhile, though.  mine will be 6 months next week and i'm thinking it's just about time.  definately will want two high chairs but tell her not to waste money getting two little bathtubs *i still don't know exactly what i was thinking!*  also i have heard really great things about the highchairs that strap onto any kind of chair...  tell your friend good luck and congratulations!!!  what a treat :)

  11. Well, It Would Be Easier If Your Friend Got Two Highchairs, As It Will Not Look Like One Babyt Is Getting More Attention Than The Other, Because She Will Not Be Able To Feed Both Of Them At The Same Time With Only One Highchair :)

  12. My baby got one of those seats that attaches to a regular dining room chair - saves money (they are much cheaper) and space. She probably should have two though.

  13. yes, she will struggle otherwise! Try secondhand! i just sold my highchair, it was fantastic condition, and i bought it for 140 euro and sold it for 40! good luck! by the way, she wont need them till twins are about 8 months old!

  14. tell her to look on NCT website for a local nearly-new baby stuff sale - she'll save a fortune on baby stuff! There's always plenty of highchairs at those things, sometimes in brand new condition.

Failing that, just look for a highchair that's on sale at half price and buy two!

    good luck.
