  1. I have a problem with chiropracticioners. Iv'e gone and didn't find them helpful at all. If the muscles that hold the spine aren't doing their job properly shouldn't we be doing excercises to strengthen the muscles? Sounds more logical, practical and permanent instead of constantly "pushing" the spine back in place only to fall out of place again.

I would recommend physiotherapy or even better athletic therapy. At least they teach you to fix it yourself once and for all instead of coming back for the rest of your life. for "adjustments"..

  2. I had a very bad experience with my chiropractor.

She made my back and neck problems worse and it took me very long to recover.

    Physiotherapy was much more beneficial.

My Aunt was very happy with her chiropractor.

  3. I am a chiropractor, and I get regularly treated by my collegues, because it helps, because it is far safer than taking any pain medicine, and because it made my headaches and allergies go away, as well as making my back and neck hurt far less often.

    good luck.

Get one off an insurance website panel, not the big yellow pages ad.

  4. They can mess your body up.

  5. Chiropractors have saved me several times, and no, I have never been hurt or injured by one.

My results are long lasting, simply because my injury (which recurs) is easily detected, and then quickly fixed by him. Some injuries require longer, more extensive treatment.

I don't see mine on a regular basis, but when I START to feel something is going out of whack, that is the time to go!

  6. No, I saw a chiropractor ONCE after a car accident 20 years earlier, and haven't needed to go again.  Before finding her, I spent 5 years regularly seeing an osteopath, another three seeing a physiotherapist and acupuncturist, and also many years at the doctor on pain medications, steroid injections and anti-inflammatory drugs.  Ask around for one your friends have used themselves and recommend.  The one I found worked out of her garage and didn't advertise, she relied only on word of mouth.
